OUR STORY

Viamamma's journey began with a young midwife's dream. While still studying, I envisioned a clinic where new mothers could receive the personalized care and support they truly deserve, alongside their babies. That dream began to take shape in 2020 when I won my first baby scale—a symbol of my unwavering commitment to helping babies thrive.

In 2021, a significant milestone was reached when I was given the opportunity to bring this vision to life in Ceres, Western Cape. It was here that the foundation of Viamamma Wellness Baby Clinic was built. After months of planning, research, and dedication, the dream became a reality when the clinic officially opened its doors in February 2022.

After three years, a new chapter unfolded when I met another passionate midwife, Sr. Anjo Lombard.

Sr. Anjo Lombard is a Qualified Professional Nurse & Loving Midwife. She obtained her Bachelor in Nursing degree (BCur) at the University of Pretoria. Sr. Anjo Lombard worked as a Midwife for the last 5years at Netcare Femina & Midwives Exclusive in Pretoria.

She absolutely love working and supporting pregnant and new mother’s in their motherhood season. Nourishing the bond between mothers and their babies is at the heart of what she do.

Our shared vision and commitment to supporting mothers and babies led us to join forces. Together, we are now working side by side at Viamamma, providing even greater care and support to the families in our community.

Now, just three years later, Viamamma Wellness Baby Clinic has become a trusted name for families in and around Blouberg, Ceres Western Cape.

We are passionate about supporting new parents, providing expert guidance, and ensuring that both mothers and babies enjoy a healthy and happy start to life.

Sr. Suritha van der Merwe & Sr. Anjo Lombard

Together, Sr. Suritha and Sr. Anjo bring years of combined experience and a wealth of knowledge to their clinic. Both are passionate about supporting families with personalized, compassionate care.

Whether it’s guiding expectant mothers through antenatal classes, providing breastfeeding support, or conducting postnatal check-ups, Sr. Suritha and Sr. Anjo’s expertise and warm, approachable nature help families to feel safe and well taken care of.

Our goal is to ensure that every mother feels empowered, informed, and supported as she navigates the challenges and joys of parenthood.

Their approach is grounded in evidence-based practice, ensuring that every piece of advice and guidance is rooted in the latest research and best practices in maternal and infant care.
